Filipino Style Spaghetti With Bow Tie Noodles

“Filipino Style” Spaghetti with bow tie noodles is the pinoy version of Italian Spaghetti with the distinct sweetness, making it a hit and often served during kid’s parties along with fried chicken and buttered puto.

In this recipe we will use of instant packed Spaghetti Sauce Sweet Style instead of making one from scratch. For this recipe we will be using bow tie pasta, but you can use the normal spaghetti pasta as well, it all depends on your preference.

So here are the steps in making Filipino Style Spaghetti With Bow Tie Noodles.

I N G R E D I E N T S

  • 1     pack bow tie pasta 500 kg
  • 1     pack spaghetti sauce filipino style 1 kg
  • 5     cloves garlic, minced
  • 1     medium onion, chopped
  • 1      medium carrot, minced
  • ¼    kilo ground pork meat
  • ¼    cup condensed milk
  • ¼    cup banana ketchup
  • ½    cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¾    cup water (spaghetti sauce)
  • ½    tbsp salt
  • 5      tbsp cooking oil
  • 1      tbsp ground black pepper
  • 1      pc knorr beef cube
  • 4     pcs sweet ham, cube sliced
  • 10   pcs hotdog, sliced diagonally
  •  5    liters water (bow tie pasta)

M E T H O D

BOW TIE Pasta

  1. Boil 5 liters of water and add 2 tbsp of salt in a large pot.
  2. Cook bow tie pasta in boiling water and 2 tbsp of cooking for 8-10 minutes until full to bite. Stir occasionally. Do not overcook.
  3. Drain the bow tie pasta  and rinse with tap water.
  4. Set aside the bow tie pasta in a bowl.

BOW TIE SPAGHETTI SAUCE

  1. Heat the oil in a pan.
  2. Saute the garlic and onions under medium fire.
  3. Add the ground pork, cook until the color turns light brown.
  4. Add the ham, hotdog and carrots. Stir and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour in the Spaghetti sauce Filipino style and knorr beef cube, add 2/3 cup of water. Stir and let boil.Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Add the banana ketchup, ground pepper  and condensed milk. Stir it well.
  7.  Try to taste the sauce and add salt if needed. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  8. Pour the bow tie spaghetti sauce over the bow tie pasta.
  9.  Top with shredded cheese and serve.
