Camarines Sur Representative Ma. Leonor “Leni Robredo” is now the country’s vice president.
With 14,418,817 votes, Robredo won the close fight race against Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. who has 14,155,344 votes. The official count by Congress as the National Board of Canvassers showed Robredo with a lead of only 263,473 votes over Marcos after done tabulating the total number of 166 certificates of canvass on Friday, around 7:16 p.m.
A truly memorable day for Robredo as today is his late husbands’ 58th birthday and the day she was declared winner of the vice presidential race.
